About Me

Name: Blake Gillman
Age: 13

I am a young Game Developer, 13 years old and I love to make games. I have worked with games since I was 7 years old and it has always been a passion of mine. Knowing HTML, CSS, VB.Net, JS, and Batch. My knowledge field then expands to Web Developer / Design / Management, as well as Software creation. I have also worked in with Audio field using Audacity and Fruity Loops Studio. And for a time worked in Visual Effects using Adobe After Effects CS5.

I used a 3D modeling software called Blender, since I was 8. I was not able to do much back then, but the results are now defiantly looking good!

A little behind my life:
I was born with large cataracts in my eyes, having to get 4 surgeries as a baby it was a little tough on me.
I learned to Talk, Walk, and act appropriate before any one else.
I had severe depression growing up, it was really hard on me.
Being Diagnosed with ADHD, Dislexia, and OCD. A road was hard to follow.
But, taking medication allowed me to clear my head and focus on things.
I know read 4 grades above my level, and write 6 above.
Doing 3 levels above math, and college science. I have an odd talent, for learning things faster than any one else in my class.
But I never thought much of my skills, I thought "Hey" what the hell can a 13 year old do? But then I saw it, a game called "Unturned" merely only 3 weeks into development and it was Mind blowing. I then read the title and was Surprised to see the Secret Name Greg Stevens (Nelson Sexton IRL), and it inspired me to see he was only 16 years old! And so you know what I said, I said HEY! If a guy merely 3 years older than me can do it, then why the hell couldn't I? And so, I began the process of my first professional game. It's name was "Alone World :: The Outbreak"
November 28th, 2013. It was that day that I decided to script a game from nothing but my programming knowledge.
And it turned out to be a success!
Since then I have been practicing my skills and getting ready for bigger projects, I hope some day to become successful in this career, and it's been my dream since a toddler.

I always knew this is what I would do with my life, and here I am, writing about it.

What do I have to thank?

Greg Stevens (Nelson Sexton): For showing me, being young makes no difference.
My Parents: For Believing in me
You guys: For helping me through my games, and through the whole process. Every time I see a comment, I think hey, these guys take the time to express their opinion about my work because it matters to them. And it always makes me happy.

So I just want to thank you all for being so supportive of me, and helping me get to where I am now.

  1. Keep up the good work! I always just saw you as a nice guy who played Unturned, but I never knew you were a game developer!
